Scholarship recipients
- Vietnamese students in Taiwan.
- Degree level: bachelor, master, doctorate.
Scholarship value
- 20,000 NTD per person.
- Total: 30 servings.
- Scholarships are awarded and allocated individually for each academic level, with 10 scholarships per level.
- The scholarship is awarded once, along with a scholarship certificate.
Basic conditions
- Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Have a grade point average (GPA) above 75/100, or above 3.0 on a 4.0 or 4.3 scale.
- Currently enrolled in their second year or later of their current degree program and not exceeding the training time stipulated by the program.
- Each applicant is only eligible to receive the Shanghai Commercial and Savings Bank Scholarship once within the same academic level.
- Applicants must have a good conduct record. If the transcript does not show a good conduct record, applicants must provide a certificate from the Student Affairs Office, faculty, or authorized unit of the university.
- Candidates facing financial difficulties will be given priority in the selection process.
Application documents
Candidates may proactively prepare the following supporting documents and materials while awaiting official notification of their application from the Organizing Committee (expected September 8, 2026):
- Your current academic transcript may show your grade point average (GPA).
- Certificate of Enrollment/Student Status Certificate.
- A certificate of good conduct or training score. If the transcript already contains this information, a separate certificate is not required.
- Documentation proving financial hardship (if applicable).
- Certificates of participation in student activities, community service, volunteer work, or leadership experience (if any).
- Certificates of awards, achievements, or qualifications (if any).
- Documentation proving achievements or experience in scientific research (if any).
- A letter of confirmation/proposal for support from the school or competent authority regarding the case of exceptional hardship (if applicable).
- Letter of recommendation/recommendation from the Student Union at your institution (if any).
- Letter of recommendation from a lecturer/professor with a PhD or higher (if available).
Applicants can also prepare the necessary information in advance to write an autobiography, which introduces their academic background, personal circumstances, achievements, activities, and reasons for applying for the scholarship.
Important timelines
- Application period: September 8, 2026 – September 22, 2026
- Confirmation of receipt of candidate's application: September 24, 2026
- Announcement of Round 1 results: October 5, 2026
- Scholarship award ceremony: The exact date will be announced later.
Selection process
- Round 1: The selection committee, comprising representatives from VIN Taiwan, VSATW, and VIC Taiwan, will evaluate the applications and propose a list of 30 scholarship recipients.
- Round 2: The Shanghai Commercial and Savings Bank reviews and confirms the list of scholarship recipients.
- The official results and information regarding the scholarship award ceremony will be announced to applicants by the Organizing Committee after the review process is complete.
Note
- Students who receive scholarships are responsible for attending the Scholarship Award Ceremony at the time and location announced by the Organizing Committee.
- Scholarship recipients may be invited to participate in interviews, filming, or video sharing sessions with the Organizing Committee.
- Applicants are responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of all information, documents, and supporting materials in their application.
- Applications lacking information, supporting documents, or submitted after the deadline may not be considered.
